The graphic novel author Ilaria Ferramosca will talk about her work - Our Mother Renata Fonte -.
Published in 2013 by 001 Edizioni, realized in collaboration with the illustrator Gian Marco De Francisco, the work celebrates the memory of Renata Fonte, Italian politics, Councilor for culture and public education of the municipality of Nardò in 1982, killed in a Mafia ambush for having strongly wanted to protect the environment, the preservation of the natural oasis of Porto Selvaggio from the building attack of the mafias.
The institutional greetings of the Culture Councilor Cristina Dettù will open the evening that sees the presence of prof. Cosimo Damiano Arnesano, president of the Mediterranean Association of Aps of Porto Cesareo organizer of the High Recognition -Virtù and Knowledge-, which, in its fourth edition, for the section -Alla Memoria- recognizes the award to women and mother Renata Fonte, in June the award ceremony.
On the occasion of the event, in the presence of Councilor Dettù and Dr. Monica Albano Sole Director of Libermedia / services and training for Cultural Heritage, manager of the Bibliomuseale Pole, the participants and winners of the literary prize -Library's Talent- will be awarded , a competition devised by Libermedia and promoted by 4 libraries including the Siciliani Library, under the patronage of the Provinces of Brindisi and Lecce, which saw the participation of around one hundred candidates. With all the candidate works a book has been published that can be purchased, along with the t-shirts on which the winning poems and stories are printed.
